Because Fixing the
Small Stuff Matters.

I’m Amir Farokhi, your District 2 councilmember. I’m proud to introduce you to my office’s Let’s Fix It, 2gether initiative.

Our neighborhoods -- Downtown, Midtown, Old Fourth Ward, Poncey-Highland, Candler Park, and Inman Park – are among the best in the city. Yet, there are still too many items that make our lives in the City more difficult: broken sidewalks, malfunctioning traffic lights, missing street signs, clogged drains, etc.

As part of this initiative, my team and I will walk every street in District 2 over the coming months to inventory all of the issues we see. We will then (1) request that the City fix items that can and should be fixed promptly; and (2) use the data we collect to propose changes to our public policy, including our City budget.

I invite you to join me! You are the eyes and ears of our city and the best resource my office has. If there’s something bothering you in your neighborhood – a pothole, broken glass, poor lighting, a missing stop sign – I encourage you to file a report with 311 online or give them a call directly.

Also, please send me an email with your pressing concerns and we can take a look. We won’t be able to get the City to fix every issue, but prompt reporting and service improves both the surrounding neighborhood and restores our trust in City Hall.

We’ll also be hosting group events through the summer and fall! Please sign up below for event notices and general updates on our initiative.
